Welcome to HEART - Homeschool Enrichment Adventures for Remarkable Thinkers

About HEART

HEART is a secular, multi-age homeschool enrichment program focusing on the unique needs of our upper elementary and middle school age homeschoolers. We are offering exciting enrichment classes that will challenge our students' creativity and problem solving skills and foster a life-long love of learning.  Our goal is to create a local community of kids that will learn and collaborate as they grow together. HEART is affiliated with AIE, a homeschool co-op founded in 2019.

We will be hosting three 9-week terms (fall 2025, Winter 2026, spring 2026) of drop-off enrichment classes in Birchrunville (near Chester Springs).

FALL 2025 Enrichment Class Offerings

Fridays, September 19th -November 14th  (9 weeks)

MORNING SESSION 9:30-11:30AM

Global Art Adventure Jr.
(ages 8-10)

During our fall term, students will investigate the traditional art and culture of various countries throughout North America, Central America, and South America.  As we "travel", the students will create art, taste traditional food, and explore the unique geography of each region.

STEAM Escape Room
(ages 11-14)

Older students will be challenged to work through various escape room-inspired experiences, mastering the function of simple machines and learning how to create different puzzles, clues, and ciphers in the process.  At the end of term, the students will use what they learned and collaborate to create their own "Escape Room".

AFTERNOON SESSION 12:30-2:30

BREAK for LUNCH and LEISURE 11:30-12:30

STEAM Exploring Simple Machines (ages 8-10)

Younger Students will explore a new simple machine each through videos, experimentation, and play.  They will be given STEAM challenges every week to solidify what they have discovered.

Global Art Adventure
(ages 11-14)

Students will learn about each of the continents through the dynamic lens of Folk Art.  As they create art from various countries, they will also learn about the traditions, influences, food, and geography that shape each unique part of our world.  During our Fall Term, we will journey through North America, Central America, and South America, tasting food and handcrafting artworks for each region.

*This class and Global Art Adventures Jr. will continue through the Winter and Spring Terms, exploring several countries in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa.

Lauren James - STEAM

Hi! I've been homeschooling for over a decade. I've got three fantastic daughters and I love learning alongside them.  I've been co-leading AIE since we started it in 2019 and I'm excited for this new addition for our middle schoolers!

MEET the Instructors

Monica Minski - Global ART

Hi! I am a homeschool mom, artist, and former art teacher.  I received a Master's degree in Art Education and taught art in schools, at art centers, and for museum art programs - all before I began this homeschooling journey (which has been best of ALL).  I love sharing my passion for art!
